Where is The Cooking Professor?

Our address is 161 Walcott Street, Mt Lawley on the corner of Burt Street.

Do you have parking?

Yes, there is a parking area at the rear of the building accessed off Burt Street.

How long do classes run?

Standard classes run for 3 hours. There are a few special classes scheduled that run for longer than this but clients are advised of the time if this is the case.

How many people are in a class?

There are 12 participants in each standard class.

Are the classes hands-on?

The classes are completely hands-on: 2 hours preparation and cooking followed by sharing the cooked meal with the other participants in our dining room.

Do I need to bring anything?

You do not need to bring anything as everything is provided.

Do I need special clothing?

You need to wear sensible clothing and flat closed shoes for safety in the kitchen. We will provide you with an apron.

Can I come to a class without booking?

No, you cannot come without a booking.

Can I bring someone to watch?

No, unfortunately this is not possible as we have limited space for participants only.

Do I need to eat before the class?

No, you definitely do not need to eat. There will be 5 to 6 dishes cooked during the class to be shared at a buffet-style meal in our dining room after the class is over.

Can I bring my own wine to the class?

Yes you can but no wine can be consumed during preparation and cooking in the kitchen for safety reasons. Wine is to be consumed with the meal only.

Do you provide recipes to take home?

Yes, all the recipes cooked during the class will be given to each participant.

Can I purchase a gift voucher?

Yes these can be purchased through our website using your credit card.

How long are vouchers valid?

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

How do I redeem my voucher?

To redeem your voucher choose the cooking class you would like to attend. Click 'Book Now' to add the class to your shopping cart. When prompted for payment just provide the voucher number located on the left side of your voucher.

Can you deal with specific dietary requirements?

Yes we can, but please call The Cooking Professor on 9227 1166 before your booking to discuss your requirements as not all classes can accommodate certain dietary requirements.

If I am booked into a particular class and I wish to change into another, is this possible?

Yes, this is possible but you must give us a minimum of 7 days notice of the change to reschedule into another class. If you need to cancel the class at all, we require 14 days notice in order for you to receive a full refund. However, you are most welcome to replace yourself with a friend to avoid losing your payment.

Do you have corporate team-building classes?

Do you host birthday parties for children and adults?
