Yvonne and her helper had many interesting stories and tips and the food we prepared after it was extremely delicious! I attended a cooking class yesterday, A Taste of Provence. I found out about the cooking school through a flyer I picked up whilst shopping at the farmers' markets in Bentley.
The class was excellent and it was an enjoyable way to spend an evening. Many thanks to Riki and to everyone who runs the school. I look forward to attending another class soon!

We had a fantastic evening at the Oysters, But So Much More class with Jerry and Riki. Everybody really enjoyed themselves and we had fun and lots of laughs. I didn't realize how many ways there are to serve oysters! I am not a fish person but the bouillabaisse was amazing and definitely something I will attempt to make. Jerry of course was his usual jovial self and put us all to shame with his expert shucking and Riki kept us all nice and busy. All in all an excellent evening!

I attended the Monadelphous/Technip corporate team-building cooking event recently. You will be pleased to know I have remembered all that was shown to me that day to the end that I now have a full pantry of Moroccan spices which I am learning to use. Also made my own pickled lemon (orange water next if I can find a source for the flowers).

The class last night with Alexandre Lui-Van-Sheng & Jacques Saint-Alme was 'super-chouette'. We made the most delicieux Macarons and their instruction was clear, detailed, 'et tres charmante'. give me more classes with these two, and I will be the 1st to sign up!

The Death by Chocolate class was absolutely fantastic! Everybody was really chatty and relaxed and when we finished preparing our dish we were doing the rounds, helping out, chatting, tasting...and the food was just amazing! One guy was really amazed that it was so hands-on and said he was totally taken out of his comfort zone. He had to prepare the beetroot tarts and I think he was a bit afraid at first but loved it in the end after everybody told him how beautiful his dish was. Everybody truly loved it; when having dinner we all congratulated each other for the great job we had done and I think nobody really wanted to leave at the end of the night.

I did Riki's Breakfast & Brunch class today and it was so good that I've enrolled in the Fast but Fabulous class with my Dad for his birthday!
