  • How long do classes run?
  • Most of our Perth cooking classes run for three hours, including two hours of cook time in the open-plan kitchen. Our classes are designed to be an interactive learning environment where you discover how each dish is prepared and made and work with your small team to create a different dish under the guidance of your instructor. These cooking classes are hands-on and intimate, ensuring a fun, educational experience in the kitchen. You then sit down at the end and share the food in a massive feast!

  • How many people are in a class?
  • Our classes are limited to small numbers (please see here for Corporate & Private Events) so you get plenty of one-on-one time with the instructor to ask questions, learn tips and tricks, and of course meet new people!

  • Are the classes hands-on?
  • The classes are completely hands-on: you’re cooking for two hours in our open-plan kitchen. In an interactive learning environment, you discover how each dish is prepared and made. You then sit down to share all the dishes, and enjoy the fruits of your labour!

  • Do I need to bring anything?
  • You do not need to bring anything as everything is provided. We do ask however that you wear flat, enclosed shoes and sensible clothing. We provide you with an apron.

  • Can I come to a class without booking?
  • No, you cannot come without a booking. Book into one of our classes here.

  • Can I bring someone to watch?
  • No, unfortunately this is not possible as we have limited space for participants only.

  • Do I need to eat before the class?
  • No, you definitely do not need to eat. There will be five to six dishes cooked during the class to be shared at a buffet-style meal in our dining room after the class is over.

  • Can I bring my own wine to the class?
  • Yes, we are fully BYO! Please note that no alcohol can be consumed during preparation and cooking in the kitchen for safety reasons. Your BYO is to be consumed with the meal only.

  • Do you provide recipes to take home?
  • Yes, all the recipes cooked during the class are given to each participant.

  • Can I purchase a gift voucher?
  • Yes these can be purchased here using your credit card.

  • How long are vouchers valid?
  • Vouchers are valid for three months from the date of purchase.

  • How do I redeem my voucher?
  • To redeem your voucher choose the cooking class you would like to attend. Click ‘Book Now’ to add the class to your shopping cart. When prompted for payment just provide the voucher number located on the left side of your voucher.

  • Can you deal with specific dietary requirements?
  • Yes we can, but please call The Cooking Professor on 0411 274 712 before your booking to discuss your requirements as not all classes can accommodate certain dietary requirements.

  • If I am booked into a particular class and I wish to change into another, is this possible?
  • Yes, this is possible. We require notice at least seven days prior to your class in order to action a reschedule request. Once within seven days of the class being held, should you not be able to attend the class, you are most welcome to replace yourself with a friend to avoid losing your payment.

  • Do you offer refunds?
  • In the unlikely event that a class does not reach minimum numbers, or due to other unforeseen exceptional circumstances, we reserve the right to change the date and reschedule the class. If this occurs, we will provide you with the options of rescheduling your class to the new date or producing you with a gift voucher to the value of your purchase valid for three months.

  • Do you have corporate team-building classes?
