Our cooking classes run for two and a half hours, including around two hours of cooking time in the open-plan kitchen. Our classes are designed to be an interactive learning environment where you discover how each dish is prepared and made and work with your small team to create a different dish under the guidance of your instructor. These cooking classes are hands-on and intimate, ensuring a fun, educational experience in the kitchen. You then sit down at the end and share the massive feast!

Our classes are limited to small numbers (please see here for Corporate & Private Events) so you get plenty of one-on-one time with the instructor to ask questions, learn tips and tricks, and of course meet new people!

Unless the age is specified, all classes are suitable for 14 year old’s plus
Parent & Child classes are suitable for children aged 4 – 14 years (Dumplings class 10 – 16 years)
Junior Kids classes are suitable for children aged 6 – 12 years
Youth classes are suitable for children aged 11 – 16 years
Long Table Dinner Events are for 14 year old’s plus

The classes are completely hands-on, you’re cooking for two hours in our open-plan kitchen. In an interactive learning environment, you discover how each dish is prepared and made. You then sit down to share all the dishes, and enjoy the fruits of your labour!

You do not need to bring anything as everything is provided. We do ask however that you wear flat, enclosed shoes and sensible clothing. We provide you with an apron.

No, you cannot come without a booking. All attendees must have pre-purchased a spot. Book into one of our classes here.

No, unfortunately this is not possible as we have limited space for participants only.

No, you definitely do not need to eat. There will be five to six dishes cooked during the class to be shared at a buffet-style meal in our dining room after the class is over.

Yes, we are fully BYO! Please note that no alcohol can be consumed during preparation and cooking in the kitchen for safety reasons. Your BYO is to be consumed with the meal in the dining area only.

You will receive your recipes link via email by the day after your Cooking Class.

Vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.

To redeem your voucher choose the cooking class you would like to attend. Click ‘Book Now’ to add the class to your shopping cart. When prompted for payment simply enter your gift voucher number in the ‘Apply a gift card’ section, located above the ‘Complete and pay’ button.

Yes, depending on which class you have chosen, your dietary requirement may be catered for. Please email info@thecookingprofessor.com.au to discuss if we can accommodate you before booking a class.

Yes, this is possible. We require notice of at least seven days prior to your class date in order to action a reschedule request. Once within seven days of the class being held, should you not be able to attend the class, you are most welcome to replace yourself with a friend to avoid losing your payment.

We do not offer refunds. If you cannot attend your cooking class booking, you have the option to reschedule into another date if notice of at least 7 days is given. For any less than 7 days before your cooking class booking date, rescheduling will require full payment for the new date.
For long table dinner events we require 10 days notice. -
In the unlikely event that a class does not reach minimum numbers, or due to other unforeseen exceptional circumstances, we reserve the right to change the date and reschedule the class. If this occurs, we will provide you with the options of rescheduling your class to the new date or issuing you with a gift voucher to the value of your purchase, valid for 3 years.

Cooking Classes – $140pp
At each one of our hands-on culinary events, you will all team-up into smaller groups, guided by our friendly and well experienced Chefs, cooking together in a joint team effort a delicious feast which you will all share on long-dining tables. (Each team cooks something different)
Length of Time: 2.5 hours (up to 2 hrs of cooking time)
Dishes cooked: 7-8 dishes
Workshops – $105pp
At each one of our hands-on Culinary Workshop your group will be teamed up into pairs following the same recipes guided by our chef to cook selected dishes while enjoying delicious tastings of the meal of your own making. (Each pair cooks the same thing)
Length of Time: 2 hours (up to 1.5 hr of cooking time)
Dishes cooked: 2-3 dishes
